BA (Hons) International Business with Italian
Italian is a Romance language, spoken by over 70 million people
in Italy, parts of Switzerland and other neighbouring
countries. Italy’s privatisation programme has started much
later than its European Union counterparts, and very profitable
markets for banks and financial institutions are now open and
developing.
Our BA (Hons) International Business with Italian course
provides you with the linguistic and business skills necessary to
ensure the success of your future business ventures in Italy and
the rest of the world.
Why Combine Italian and International Business?
Italy’s political and economic power resides in Rome, with
Milan, Genoa and Turin forming its famous "industrial triangle" in
the north of the country.
Milan is synonymous with fashion and the headquarters of Armani,
Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Prada and Versace are all based in the
city. Turin is home to automotive giants like Fiat, Lancia
and Alfa Romeo. Although there has been a long standing
north-south divide in Italy (with the north the most prosperous),
the south experienced remarkable economic growth between the 1940s
and 1970s and the southern port city of Naples has the fourth
strongest economy (after Rome, Milan and Turin).
As an International Business graduate with advanced Italian
language skills, you will be well placed to take advantage
of the employment opportunities that Italy's many international
brands present, both in Italy and around the world.
