BA (Hons) International Business with Arabic
Arabic is the most recent addition to the growing portfolio of
foreign languages available to study on the BA (Hons) International
Business degree at the European Business School London.
Why Combine Arabic and International Business?
The combination of Arabic and International Business
opens up the Arabic speaking world and will allow you insight into
the cultural, religious and political dimensions of the
region.
Most importantly, the study of Arabic within the BA (Hons)
International Business degree will provide access to the business
domain of the Arabic countries that often have thriving economies,
exemplified by the dynamic development of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The politics of the Middle East in general and recent political
events in particular have heightened the importance of studying
Arabic. This integrated programme of Arabic and International
Business is therefore growing rapidly in popularity among students
looking to acquire Arabic proficiency, and who wish to gain
hands-on experience in conducting business in the Arabic-speaking
world.
The Arabic Language
Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world,
with up to 300 million speakers. It is the dominant language in an
area covering the whole of Northern Africa, the Arabian Peninsula
and much of the Middle East. Arabic is the language of Islam; it is
also the second language of millions of Muslims around the
world.
