Language Teaching

Language teaching at EBS London is based around the following factors:

Small Group Sizes

All language groups contain no more than 12 students, and there is close contact with your lecturer, who is a native speaker of the language you have chosen.

Business Focus

You are introduced to business vocabulary and content from an early stage in the course, and on your return from the SPA you will concentrate in greater depth on business topics relating to the country or region where the language is spoken.

Native Speaking Lecturers

You will be taught by native speakers who are highly qualified and experienced in teaching the language in a business context, in a multicultural environment.

Multi-Media Technology

Classes take place in rooms with multi-media equipment, and there is an Open Access language centre with modern technology available for independent study. Our language teaching is supported by the use of a Virtual Learning Environment.

Classroom Contact

There are up to six hours of language teaching per week to prepare you to go on your Study Period Abroad (SPA).

Cultural Awareness

The final examination takes the form of a presentation on a business topic to a panel of assessors, where you will be marked on your language ability, knowledge of the business topic and cultural awareness.

"The SPA, the wide variety of nationalities and dedicated faculty and staff are what attracted me to EBS."
