Marcela de la Fuente

Degree: MA in Entrepreneurial Management
Nationality: Peruvian

Just six months into her career, Marcela is already helping shape the destiny of one of Britain’s most exclusive chain of high-street delicatessens and corporate caterers.

Within weeks of being awarded her MA last summer, Marcela, 29, won a place on a year-long graduate training programme with Benugo. Established ten years ago, Benugo has six central London delicatessens and premium food shops, concessions in major art galleries such as the Victoria and Albert museum and corporate contracts with blue-chip companies such as Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank. PWC, Deloitte, United Business Media and UBS

She has her medium-term sights on rising to operations manager, then after 10 years or so, returning to Peru to set up in business.

She said: “The most valuable aspect of EBSL is the opportunity to exchange ideas with people of different cultures. It helps you understand how culture can influence in business.

"My fondest memories are the long conversations with the good friends I made during studies and working in teams to combine talents and achieve goals.”

"Studying abroad at the Regent’s American College London has given me an opportunity to broaden my horizons with an introduction to a new culture through my studies with people from all over the world and United States."
