Regent's College

Disabled Parking at Regent's College

The Acland Car Park has 2 dedicated disabled parking spaces for Blue Badge holders. It is advisable to contact Reception in advance if you  need to use a designated parking space, to check availability. Whilst using the Acland Car Park dedicated spaces the Blue Badge must be clearly visible in the windscreen of the vehicle at all times.

All disabled parking will be charged at the normal tariffs.

Alternatively, should you prefer to use off campus parking, the Crown Estates have spaces for Blue Badge holders, just opposite the main car park entrance: These spaces permit free parking for Blue Badge holders for up to 4 hours.

If you are a full-time Blue Badge holder studying here for more than 3 months you may wish to contact Westminster Council to ask more about their White Badge Scheme.

Instructions for Acland Car Park

Entrance to disabled parking

Turn left into Acland Car Park immediately after driving over the bridge on York Road. Press the green button at the entry machine and you will be issued with a yellow chip coin. When the coin is issued the barrier will open

For any reason the coin is not issued or the barrier does not open please contact Security via the Intercom which is the button with a picture of a telephone handset on it. Security will answer. Advise them that you are a Blue Badge holder and you wish to use a disabled parking space. They will then open the barrier for you.

At this time ask Security to send someone to open the Main Acland door (see picture of Main Acland Door) so that you can gain entry to the college. There is ramped access to the Acland Main entrance.

Drive to the bottom of the Driveway and you will see a small square where the two spaces are clearly marked.

When you leave, please pay for your parking at the Security office in Main Reception.  They will then validate your chip coin and this will allow you to exit the car park by putting the chip coin in the exit machine.

Congestion charge

Blue Badge holders should be eligible for 100% discount on the Congestion Charge. It is necessary to complete a registration form and be issued with a discount registration approval letter.

Swipe card access

Regent's College students who are Blue Badge holders may wish to have their student card authorised to allow swipe card access via Acland Main Entrance. They are therefore advised to request this in advance, so that they can collect their authorised swipe card on arrival. Collection arrangements will be agreed on an individual basis.
